Church Bulletin Software can be a big help when putting together a great church bulletin. Here are a few
preparatory ideas to help you begin making bulletins that are both functional and fun.
Organization:
Your church bulletin serves many purposes, not just a presentation of the order of the worship service. However,
in order for it to flow naturally, your bulletin should be organized in a way that keeps things moving along, lets
those who are participating know when their parts are coming up, and gives regulars and visitors alike a clear idea
of what is going to be happening and when. Announcements and events are generally listed after the service
information. Be sure to include as many details as possible including times, dates, locations, and contact
information to make it easy for the congregation to make plans to participate.
Work hard at designing your program cover. Attempt to find or create some art that fits the theme of the day's
message or even that some that are in harmony with the current sermon series. You should also use (or create, if
need be) a logo for your church that you can use in small or large form for all future covers.
BIG TIP: PROOFREAD!!! It is always a good idea to have someone look over the bulletin for typos
and grammatical errors before going to print. It will save you a lot of headaches.
Binding Style:
There are a variety of bindings that you might want to consider for your bulletin. "Booklet makers" are machines
that are rather inexpensive to purchase, and would allow you to do the work in your own office while saving money
at the same time. And what ministry doesn't want to not spend more than necessary?
Utilizing church bulletin software for your church, ministry, or group can actually serve to make the weekly
process of bulletin preparation quick and maybe even fun.
